Flawed premise- thoughts do not exclusively come from "memories" Thoughts are also part of being "conscious" and interpreting stimuli and their related chemical changes in the brain (emotions) being experienced in the PRESENT which constitutes an "experience" as well...

Perhaps because I missed your preceding question I'm not sure of the context of this one I will however comment.

The problem with memories is the fact that they are often times viewed through rose tinted glasses.

That great memory has been colored by time.
That bad memory has been colored with disappointment and anger.
