I think I may have a yeast infection. I got a pack of Monistat with a treatment applicator and such. I read that you should not use it if you've never been treated for a yeast infection before, which I haven't. But my insurance will not kick in until September when I get on my husband's new insurance. Should I just use the stuff anyway or spend money on an insured visit to the gyno who's just going to tell me I have a yeast infection? I told my mother what it said and told her I wasn't going to use it and she thinks I might be overreacting. I have the classic symptoms... burning, itching, clumpy discharge, been on antibiotics for the past week, and so on. Will it really harm me if I haven't been treated for it before? Thanks in advance.
