3 nearly broke guys decided to share a hotel room. the sign outside the hotel said rooms for $30. They went inside and each paid $10 to the clerk. When the night clerk came on duty he realized the room was overcharged, because of a $25 special. The night clerk sent the bellboy up to their room with five $1 bills. The bellboy not being too smart did not know how to divide $5 among the three men. so he put $2 in his pocket and gave the three men the $3 to divide among themselves. This made each man paying $9 each. If $9 times 3 men = $27 plus the $2 the bell boy kept equalling $29, where did the other $1 go?
No, the $27 does not already include the $2. Wrong.
No, you don't subtract the $2, you DO add it. Trying to ACCOUNT for money here. Don't get caught on this, wrong.
Yes, it's easy to say $25 + $2 + ($1 X $3)= $30 anyone can do that.
No, they didn't pay $8.33 each. Wrong.
If you chose any of the above, you're not reading.
In basic math it's 9X3=27+2=29...where's the $1
