beacause wat are 12 year old gonna do its not like they can drive or and theyll just be akward and maby kiss on the playground and then run away and tell there friends about it. its not a serious relation ship so why freak bout it.

I wasn't allowed to date until I was 17. I also got pregnant when I was 17...lol. I got pregnant by the only guy I was allowed to date. Four years later, we're still together. We have 2 daughters now. I won't feel right letting them date before they are 15. I guess we all learn from the past. I was on birth control when I got pregnant, so I'll teach my girls from my own experience.
Ashley M, you're also 15 with a baby. That's why I don't want my kids dating at 12

These kinds of descion are up to the kids parents, when their child should date, or whatever else. I think that kids should not be allowed to date until they are 15 or 16. In high school and almost about to come out.

because their parents should have set boundries and expectations when they were 9... no dating till 16, and then only double dates till 18.
Knowing the standards young will set the tone long before they get tooo 12., this is the standard in our home and she will know what to expect when she comes asking for these 13 year old dates.... no way, better yet, she won't. They can join us for a family outing... but no single dates...

I don't know why my parents allow me to date a 12 year old girl. Its just weird like that i guess.

Some kids feel ready to have a boyfriend. And the Parents let them.

umm that's a good question, I was allowed to date at 16, and I guess it's a good age if I have kids that's what age they'll be when they are allowed to date

hey what's the matter with kids dating at 12 if their parents have taught them well and they know how to handle their selves then its ok plus they have feelings for the opposite sex just us older people do

because alot of parents now a days had their kids when they were 12-15 and dont know any different since they were never taught themselves

i think it's beause parents want their children to be more well rounded. when thy grow up they will be so mature because they've been exposed to different and nurturing experiences from when they're really young. besides, i think it's better than locking your kids in cell and not letting them do anything
