I'm feeling terribly lost. I wander around work and throw up my hands, wondering what the hell am I doing? I feel so lost and alone that I really feel like I have no place in the world. I'm so utterly sad that I can't climb out of this hole of despair. I'm on prozac, but it has yet to really help me in any way. I feel so tired with my existance right now - feel there is only one answer to it....

I know that any rational is the ratio of two integers.
I also know that an irrational number is supposed to be an infinite nonrepeating decimal.

So, where does that leave the number 1.999999999...?
If it can be written as the ratio of two integers, please show me which two.
Thanks.

If it's not rational and it's not irrational, then what would it be classified as?

I think this is why soccer is not popular in the US. You play your hearts out in a big game like this, just to be tied after 120 minutes. Then the game is decided--of all things--with a goal shootout. In baseball that would be the equivalent of deciding a tie game with...a home run derby! How ridiculous would that be? Who wants to play a hard-fought game just to decide on a flurry of scoring at the end--basically leaving the hopes of the team to chance. I'd say, have an infinite number of extra time, not just two frames, until someone wins. And make the ET sudden-death: whoever scores in extra time first wins--like we do in american football. Make it the "golden goal": the 1st goal in finishes it. That reduces the possibility of ending up tied again after the extra frames. It's a tough loss for Argentina, I know. I'm actually a tolerant soccer fan; I have fun watching these games, unlike many American fans. I suspect it's the finality of the shoot-out that turns off US fans.

I've always wanted to know the answer to this question, because my older step-brother was really tall and also really endowed. I tried my best not to notice when we were changing, but it was just *there*. I’m not too bad myself, but his really put mine to shame. It’s like he has an elephant trunk dangling between his legs. And so I’ve always wondered, is there a strong positive correlation between height and penis size? I'm average height (5'10), with a slightly above-average penis (6 to 6.5 inches erect) and want to know whether females may think I could be undersized due to the fact that I'm not 6 feet tall. Yeah, I still get pussy on the reg, but not nearly as much as he does; he says he is approaching four digits, and I believe him because women hit on him all the time.

Have you ladies ever encountered a short man (under 5'8) with a long penis or a tall man (over 6 feet) with a teenie weenie?

I have over the years (esp. when working in nightclubs and restaurants with a large gay clientel) noticed a distincly higher percentage of (mostly men) deaf homosexuals. Recently the movie "The Family Stone" reminded me of the phenomenon..

what's up with that?

- is it because the gay community is more accepting of differrences and in this case, being deaf?

- were deaf schools rampant with sexual abuse and molestation?

- is there some sort of sociological expanation? physiological explanation?

- does the ability of deaf people to "hear" heavy bass make them more inclined towards disco and house music and thusly gravitate towards gay bars??

serious question (despite the last rather facetious remark)... anyone else observed this?

not interested in haters or bigotted responses either.. I've got nuthin but RESPECT for my gay brothers and sisters....

Just curious what you all think. With our society nowadays pushing the skinny blonde with no common sense, one can only wonder if that is the way most men feel. And if one doesnt happen to fit that mold they are automatically determined as ugly or fat, etc.

I had a property settlement drawn up in my divorce that stated that I would not persue alimony in my divorce if my exhusband took full financial responsibility for a 2002 mitsubishi eclipse loan. Well after the divorce he had the car repossed because he didnt pay the loan and then filed bankruptcy. The loan company then came after me for the monies owed so I had to file bankruptcy. Anyway my question is, since he didnt take financial responsibility on the car like agreed in our property settlement, do I have any claim to file for alimony or damages?

If we do remember them and someone really important to us didn't make it, how can we be in absolutely blissfully happy knowing that they are suffering the worst imaginable torment? And is it not sad to think that we might not remember them? I mean, they can't all make can they?

Just curious. It becomes a symbol(can I say 'image'?) of Singapore, When ppl imitate Singaporean, they must say that 'lah' word at the end of the sentence.

My boyfriend jokes around a lot where I never know when to take him seriously. Over dinner last night, he mentioned that we should get house, get married and squeeze a couple of kids. Should I take that as a hint?
