Do all guys feel that the appearance of women is the determining factor for relationships?

Just curious what you all think. With our society nowadays pushing the skinny blonde with no common sense, one can only wonder if that is the way most men feel. And if one doesnt happen to fit that mold they are automatically determined as ugly or fat, etc.

Beauty is a funny thing. I have known women that have grown very attractive as I have gotten to know them and understood what they are about, what they stand for, what they desire in life. I have seen the opposite as well, where the personality really pulls out the beauty that they may have on the surface.

Having been married for 10 years, I can say that what's key in beauty etc. is the intimacy we have with that person. Most people (women and men) really desire intimacy (being known by someone warts and all and despite all that, still being accepted). Our cultures' fascination with sex, is I think really just striving after some deeper connection (but our culture has a hard time developing intimacy, without thinking that it means sex).

Don't get me wrong, sex is great, but it becomes amazing when you have the intimacy as a base, not the other way around. And with that intimacy comes deeper attraction, not just to their skin, but to their 'soul'.

I only when i can not connect mentally with her. Blondes I do not always find attractive red heads are my weakness so rare not many out there. My point is appearance is important but if i can connect with her on a higher levels than the bed oh yeah beauty is in the eye of the beholder

If you think about the reality of this question, you can answer it yourself. If all guys truly felt that way, don't you think all those ugly people you see walking around with someone would be walking around alone instead?

I like to keep this in mind when I see a beautiful girl and have that instant reaction:

Always remember. It doesn't matter how beautiful she is, there is most likely some guy, somewhere, who is completely tired of putting up with her bull-shyte.

no-that you're looking good or not is not the most important factor.some guys look for women who are not pretty and don't have perfect bodies,but they're intelegent,have a sence of humour and other things for having a good conversation with.of coarse your appearence is important,but only to yourself-when you think you look good(your hair is and make-up are perfect,you are dressed well) you are more self-confident and the 'start' of a new relationship seems like a normal thing in your scadule.the guys who are interested only in how you look and if is your appearence is glamouros or not don't deserve your attention!:)

I don't think all men feel that way. I know many men who say looks only last about 5 minutes with them as far as far as keeping their attention. There has to be brains and personality.
