If I said that I have never committed a sin, no one would believe me because its pretty much universally excepted among those who believe in sin that no one escapes it. But if no one can avoid sin, and everyone that is born will commit sin, then one can't escape the conclusion that it is part of who we are, how we are created. If that weren't the case, I could avoid committing sin if I tried really hard, right? But I can't can I? So if we avoid sin, it has to be part of us. So why should we be punished for it?
