well...not being a woman, you really can't answer what you would do.
Women stay for so many reasons........they can't make it on their own, they are scared, they have low self esteem, they want to be loved......and no being beaten isn't love but try telling some woman who is beaten and then he comes and tells her he is so sorry and that he loves her so much that she isn't loved.
There are just so many reasons.......what I want to know is why some men think they need to beat a woman to feel powerful?
Great question....and I hope it isn't inspired by someone you know being beaten.....if it is.....do her a favor and call the police. If the OJ case did one thing for us, it's that the police take domestic violence seriously now.

More than likely they grew up with it. To them it's a way a life. As a cop I see it way too much. They''l go back. Studies have shown that it takes women at least 7 attempts to leave before they finally do.
Money, children all play a part.
Also the asshole doesn't start off slapping the women. she's emotionally, financially attached when the abuse usually starts.

I suppose I shouldn't answer because I ave never been put in this situation, but from speculation I blame society for this whole men are greater idea, and you must admit (not sexist, women you know this is true) many women have very little backbone, and when they are "in love" they take whatever comes with it.

Fear of many things. Just imagine what it's like to be on your own in this world and not having the means to support yourself. Where to go . . . who to go to . . . what if there is no one to turn to for help? Some women are stuck. When children are involved the situation is even worse.

They are afraid to be alone.
Love is blind sometimes. These women get involved and dont notice that a little push will turn into a painful punch. Then they feel like its to late for them to get out.
