Hello, I'm planning to go to New York for New Years to ring in the New Year. I'm wondering if there's a parking lot right near Times Square that offers very cheap Parking. I'm planning to arrive at about 11:30 and I don't want to pay more than $20. I'd prefer indoor parking.

It's my dream to live in NYC someday, but I have cerebral palsy. In my current state (Oregon) they have a pretty good array of services. Because I am on Social Security I qualify for a state-paid attendant and we have a local door-to-door bus service known as Trimet Lift. Does NYC have anything remotely close to that?

My friend and I are flying to London at the end of January and we have a 5 hour layover in New York on the way there and on the way home. Is there time to go see anything? Or is it too much of a pain to get out and back in?

All my boyfriend wants for Christmas is a trip to NYC for a few days. We'll be there from Dec. 24-26. Any ideas on what to do when we get there. He's very ecletic (likes tatoos, modern art, flea market shopping). I want to take him to a show maybe, a nice restaurant (but not too swanky) and maybe a club. Any ideas. I also don't want everything to be too far away from each other.

I want to live in Manhattan, in a nice safe area - one bedroom or studio alone. Is a 40,000 per yr. salary enough to do this? What if I spend 1800 on rent a month? what are the nicest neighorhoods to live in, that I'm close to partying but not in the middle of it? Thanks.

Ok here goes, I am in a dilema ok, I am from this small town called Union in South Carolina and I have lived here basically al my life. Iam 21 going on 22 years of age and I have a ton oppurtunites in life as far as education is concerned. Recentley I had the oppurtunity to visit New York City for the past 2 Summers in a row and stay there and feel what it is like being a New Yorker, and I fell inlove with the place. Being that I am from a small southern redneck town where everything is black and white and the biggest building is the courthouse and hospital and virtually no skyscrappers in a 50 mile radius New York became over whelming to me and it took me bystorm. Fianlly my summer came to an end and it was time for me to move back home to continue my college education at USC and I became depressed because of being bored and missing the city life. Iam in my last semester which starts in Jan 07 and that following May I will receive my Associates degree should I stay or go on to Barouch

As a potential NYC resident I understand that I've been accustomed to certain luxuries while living in the south. What are some of the things most NYC area apartments do not offer and I should be paying attention to. In other words, What is the fine print?

My boyfriend & I will be visiting NYC in a few weeks. Any suggestions on any cool (but inexpensive) places? I like clubs with a music mix of hip hop/pop/techno...is the Crowbar cool?

P.S. no rude or ignorant answers please!
