My boyfriend & I will be visiting NYC in a few weeks. Any suggestions on any cool (but inexpensive) places? I like clubs with a music mix of hip hop/pop/techno...is the Crowbar cool?

P.S. no rude or ignorant answers please!

Crobar is cool - very big, with a nice dance floor. There is also a side room that plays different music (hip hop) where you can sit and chill out. It can get really crowded, they have certain areas roped off for VIP/table service.

Pacha - also very big, although the dance floor is not huge. Three different levels that all play different music. Lots of the top DJ's play here.

Avalon - the old LimeLight - this tends to open and close without much notice, so call ahead and see what is going on the night you want to go. They also have various rooms/levels so you can hear different music in different parts of the club

Crobar is the best!

I am on the West Coast and every time I head to the city I go to Crobar. Check there website and see who is the DJ, it is a mega club and will be crowded but the party goes on all night and into the am.

why might he placed on white to a club so he can pour sweat into his collar and look a damn mess by the tip of the night! and purple! why might you prefer to stand out in a club in manhattan. thats not precisely smart. in simple terms placed on a marvelous setting up dark blue or black shirt which will look clean when you leave the region. and take a glance at to combination in with the team so they don't decide you're traveling from the barns.

Check out http://www.PrimeViste.com (friend's site) has NYC happenings and events (bunch o' others). On the right side of the page and in the archives the post event suggestions (things to do - shopping ideas too/holidays, they have to run that stuff).

Hope it helps.
