Coming to NYC for 5 days in Feb. Thinking about doing one of the day tours to the Niagra Falls, There about $350.

Has anyone been on them or used it is the past? Any stories what the experience is like would be great, as its a long way to go for one day.

A day tour ? Niagara Falls is really pretty but it's also a 800 mile or so round trip from NYC. That adds up to a very long day . If you factor in the very real possibility of encountering heavy snow your day just got a whole lot longer.
As long as you're into standing over freezing bodies of water you may want to go out the the very eastern tip of Long Island - Montauk Point.
The long Island rail road will get you out there in about 2.5 hrs. and about $ 30.00 round trip.
It's around 7 miles from the train station to the point and since the local cab companies do lttle business in winter I'm sure you. could arrange a good rate for taking you around.
Montauk is absolutley beautiful and worth it .

February in Niagara Falls would not be my first choice, but the Falls are still there but otherwise the place looks pretty bleak with nothing growing. I would think renting a car and driving yourself could be done for less than $ 350 but you would have to check that. You realize that to make the trip worthwhile, you pretty well have to go to the Canadian side. I live near the Falls and have not taken the bus trip you mentioned.

don't forget long island like montauk, fire island and such.
