Check out the holiday fair in union square (take the 4,5,6,N,R,Q,W,L, etc. train to union square)

They may not all be worth it, as some start to repeat themselves, just stop when you get bored. They probably wont be too expensive, and some people are willing to haggle, and you can push it down a few dollars. Also just on looks they'll make it more expensive.

My friend once was looking at a hat, and as we walked by the store keeper was shouting "5 dollars! any hat! 5 bucks!"
my friend: could i see that hat in blue? okay good? how much? 5?
storekeeper: no nono 7 dollars.
my friend: you just said it was 5....
storekeeper: okay i'll make it 6 just for you.

Kinda crazy. but it's fun
have fun!

Definitely check out the Young Designers market on Mulberry Street.

Lots of great stuff, and a wide variety of prices.

If any, I would pass on West 25th Street...it's not really as good as it used to be.

Sorry, no idea about the line for skating, I'm sure it varies throughout the day. I'm sure if you called ahead they could tell you how long the wait will be.
