We are going to NYC for my 21st birthday. We are staying 2 nights and will rarely be at the hotel and want to put 3 people in a room "meant" for two people. If we are found out will we be kicked out, does it depend on the hotel? The hotel will either be the New Yorker or another big hotel if we can find a better deal (since New Yorker got back reviews online). Our other option was to stay in a suite that sleeps 4 and have 5 people in it.

Here in DC when my friend had her party the staff didn't seem to mind that there were 11 of us in a 3 person suite -- but we weren't all spending the night just hanging out at like 2AM.

Is it worth my conscience to pay more for some peace of mind?

I am flying into JFK at night and would like to take an Amtrak train to Philadelphia at Penn Station . From what I can gather the best and fastest route to Penn Station I can take is AirTran from JFK to Jamaica. Take the MTA LIRR from Jamaica to Penn Station.

How long does this route take?
Has anybody taken this route and has advice?
Any other route suggestions?
How much is a taxi ride and how long?

I'm going to NYC this week for thanksgiving. Everyone has told me that Macy's has the best window displays for the holidays. Well, I'm sure there is more than one Macy's...anyone have an address for me (intersection or subway info). I would appreciate it!!

Like overall, to walk down the streets in the daytime, even nightime as long as you don't go down alleys. And what is the safest spot in your opinion? Manhattan? Brooklyn?

There is a "Dial-A-Bus" station in Port Jervis. How much would a bus from Port Jervis, NY, to Ronkonkoma, NY (on Long Island) cost, approximately? It would be a Saturday on an off-peak day.

I've lived in New Jersey, 15 min away from NY, my entire life & I've never been to the parade. I may want to go this year but I'm not sure what time I should arrive so I could have a decent standing area where I am able to see the ENTIRE parade! Where is the best area to see the parade & what time should I be there?

I really want to go to NYU but I know it's very competitive and I'm trying to get my GPA up and do good on the ACT to increase my chances. But I've also been thinking that I should just go to any local college after highschool and take some general education courses in hopes of increasing my chances than after that I can just transfer so I was wondering if that would be a bright idea to do and would this actually improve my chances of getting in?

We are wanting to buy tickets for Phantom of the Opera. I have no idea if it's worth paying $30 more a ticket to sit in the ochestra or front mezzanine. Can somebody give me advice?

Can you sit so far back that you actually have to wear binoculars to see or can you see the stage from everywhere?
