I'm going to South Hampton for a national insurance number appointment, and I don't knoww here it is!! I Can't understand the lady on the phone, all I got is the post code -SO14 3PJ- and I found it on google maps, but not the location, just the general area.
Anyone know the address of where I'm going??

I'm a 33-year old who's never been to London (or the UK for that matter). I'll be hanging out there for 4 days in mid-April on my way back to Chicago from a business trip in Chennai. Looking for thoughts on which part of town to stay in (Kensington, Knightsbridge, Islington, etc.).

Not worried about getting around to see the sights since I'll use the Tube or Taxis. Just looking for someplace with great pubs within walking distance and good hotel options.

Speaking of pubs...any recommendations? Not into the lights, loud music & dancing in the clubs...I'm more the hole-in-the-wall kind of guy. Just want to throw back MANY pints and hope nobody minds a drunk Yank drinking with them.

Give me some good suggestions, and I'll be happy to return the favor if anyone needs to know what to do in Chicago down the road.
