to pay per mile for the price of a business car travel. The RAC suggest 35p but I am seeking the UK government guide price per mile. Thank you

The AA or RAC guide prices are used as standard. I am not aware of the government setting a guide price separate from those two. You could try http://www.dft.gov.uk/

The government does not suggest a price per mile. However, the standard does seem to be 35p per mile. I believe you are able to pay up to 40p per mile for tax purposes but mileage gets complicated when calculating tax, most people pay slightly less. This assumes the driver is using their own car.

When I was in HM Government service a few years ago the upper rate was 40 pence/mile. It is dependent upon the cc of the car.
