iam a phd student, iam living in levenshulume in a 2 bedroom house because i have 2 childeren, i pay £400 pcm, and i pay about 250for bills, so i want to move to a nice and cheap and first of all clean house or flat in manchester, what do you advise me.and what about the campus is it cheap?

the rents about £56 a week
but watch out for areas like moss side hulme i live in those areas and there's alot of shooting around here

Try Manchester City Council website and go to housing. You can apply online if you are eligible, and then you bid for the properties they advertise.
Watch where you go. Levenshulme is a dump and Longsight worse. I would look at Wythenshawe, big houses, cheap, good transport links either via the number 45 bus(approx 45 mins into Man city centre) or train from airport ( 10 mins to Oxford Road).
Wythenshawe is very green with lots of open spaces for children. The Forum is good, shops, market all being improved. Apply to Willow Park Housing.
