Me and my boyfriend are going to London and Paris the first week of May. Can anyone tell me any good places to eat that might not be in the travel books. I want to find a decent place to have a nice dinner with my boyfriend in both cities. Not too pricey and not too cheap either.
I also want to know if there are any shops or other places worth seeing, that arent in the travel books, as well.

Thank you!!!

I love my country, after travelling for 12 years there is still nowhere like England. The green fields as you fly in, the wonderful villages, the theatres in the West End. Surely you lot can list some real positives for a change?

Do you know any good pubs in London (UK), to meet women? The net is SOOO bad for meeting women; they never get off their asses to meet up. Ok, so it's taken me years to get the courage to try it, but now I want to sort it out, get off MY *** and go meet some women in pubs, but wanted some info on some good places to try that don't cost a small fortune or that will end up becoming a warzone. ie, reputable pubs with good, (but not snobby or heads-up-their-own-asses 'establishments'),.. say either students hangouts, (mature too of course!),.. or media-employees, lawyers etc, hotel staff,.. people like that,... good, wholesome places to hangout. Do you know any? Names welcome! Anyone want to show me where they hang out?

I am keen to know about holidays which involve activities for kids of age group 5-8 - potentially involving cartoon characters. We have been to Disney Paris and Butlins in last year - our reaction Disney - too expensive, Butlins Bognor - Dirty Linen even in Gold Apartment, ok activities. So we are looking for something with clean self catering accomdation and lots of childrens activities.

Hi, I'm planning on whisking my boyf away to the New Forest in Hampshire for his birthday in the summer. I'm looking for a hotel or B&B - doesn't need to be too flashy - but somewhere that's really romantic. I'm thinking idyllic setting, four poster bed, close to some lovely walks.

As I said, I don't mind if it's a farmhouse or a hotel. It just needs to be special. I'm not made of money so looking for rooms around the £50-100 mark per night for two.

Anyone have any ideas? Also, if you know of nice places to visit in the New Forest - good pubs, horse riding, anything really, that'd be good too.

Do people just want to see London/Statford on Avon etc? Or would they like to visit more of the country? Is it just package tours to the uk, or can you plan your own visit? Do people plan their own visits, or is that not easy to do? What sort of things would people like to know? Ask out of general curiosity and little brother doing project on tourism at school.

We were due to move next week to Prestwich from Ireland,I've just recieved an email from the person we were due to rent from that she's given the house to someone who wanted it for a much longer term than us so now we have nowhere to live.I don't want to pay agency fees unless I really have to,they also take a week or so to do everythink and we're meant to be moving on Tuesday .Does anyone have any ideas on what to do.I'm so upset I can't think straight,we had everything organised and now it's all fallen apart
Thanks

I will be in London ...April 03 to April 12. and need a room/place to rent for just this short time. I was shocked at how expensive hotels are. and it would be great if someone could point in the right direction. Just a simple room will be fine. nothing fancy.but neat off course. Thanks for your help.
