Winston Churchill once said, "When a man is tired of London, he must surely be tired of life!'

You can not see and appreciate London in just one day.

But if that's all the time you have, then I would strongly suggest
to spend a perfect day in London via the BIG BUS tour. It takes you through the main attractions of London through the famous West End. This is a guided tour of London and you can get on and off the bus at any point of interest during the course of the day. And then when you are done visiting that one particular place, you just hop on the next bus without missing a thing. The main point to start the tour is from Baker Street underground station. The bus covers practically all the main attraction of London such as Hyde Park, Regents park, Pall Mall, Marble Arch, Trafalger square, Westminister Abbey, Houses of Parliament (The Big Ben), Victoria station, Strand, Drury Lane, The City, fleet street, Covent Gardens, Tower of London, Tower bridge, and many many more places of interest.

This is the best way to go for a first timer. And when you are done for the day, you may even want to take in a play at the famous theater district of London or a meal in Chinatown or one of the many outdoor eateries of Covent garden.

Another thing to keep in mind is that London has one of most efficent transport system in the World. The famous Underground tube and the bus system of London are the best. SO you really can not possibly get lost in London either.

Hope you have fun, lucky you!
