I am going to be spending my junior year abroad in Spain and need to find a way to talk to my parents here in the US (inexpensively) and also be able to call others in a local area. Is a cellphone a good idea? Should I buy one here and then get a plan that allows me to call internationally? Or should I get one where you add on minutes from a phone card? Are there other cheap options besides a cellphone?

Two of my friends have gone and raved about it. The exhibit is in Branson, Mo. until early January. I am trying to convince two of my friends, science teachers, to go with me but they say that have done dissections and aren't sure if it will be worth the 28.50. Also, one friend who raved about the exhibit itself told me the audio tape/headset wasn't really worth the $5.00 - unusual because when you go to museums that offer them they are usually well worth the price and you would of thought with something as baffling as bodies a good explanation would help. Thanks for any responses. If you didn't like it do let me know. If you were surprised you enjoyed it, let me know.

Scotland
Europe (France, Spain or Italy)
USA
Canada
Australia

Cheers. I am swaying towards Canada but haven't discounted anywhere else just yet.

Assuming you don't have a college degree in anything but you are willing to work, how possible is it to find a job and live in any country in Europe? Or are some easier than others?

Does anyone know (or have they had experience with) any good destinations for a single person traveling alone? Any resorts in Mexico or the Carribbean, etc? I think Club Med used to do this, but have changed over to a resort for families. Also any good websites to search would be appreciated. Thanks!

I spend all day booking flights and hotels for classical musicians who all have frequent flyer cards and hotel memberships but there must be schemes where I benefit from choosing these airlines, or hotels for my clients. ANy ideas?

She said that when I turned 16 she would take me anywhere, because she really likes to travel. I've narrowed it down to a few places, but I'd like your opinions on which of my choices you think would be best, and if you have another idea as to where I may like to go, tell me!

I've decided that it's going to be one of the following:
Vietnam
New Zealand
India
Japan
Eastern Europe

Just be aware that I wouldn't really want to go to the other side of the world to go shopping, so I need answers based more on culture and amazing experiences. I'm in really good shape and so is my aunt, so I'd probabaly spend most of my time kayaking and mountain biking and such. But I'd still like to spend a few days in the major cities of the nation.

I recently been to California and Hawa'ii, and all the people I met were nice, more so than here in England. However, is this just for tourism, or do they just like tourists?

This summer I read an article about travel with the title: "Slow is beautiful”.
According the article’’Moving Less and seeing More is the New Mantra for today’s traveller”.
There is a growing demand for specialized holidays. The classic package tour is no longer enough! People are looking for something more exclusive and adventurous?

Heya Guys,

Im an Aussie Student and will be travelling to California in January. Ive been advised to take mainly travellers cheques as they can be used as currency. Just wondering if any Americans could confirm that for me? I'll be in LA & San Fransisco at all the "touristy" places- but was told places even like maccas will take travellers cheques as cash ( without having to previously cash them in) . Any insight would be fantastic I really dont want to turn up with all these travellers cheques and have to cash them all in individually if they arent accepted as cash! Thanks Heaps !
