There are many great Islands and they all have the beach and the water in common. The most beautiful Islands that I have been to are the Tahitian islands with Moorea and Bora Bora toping the list. I was born and Raised in Hawaii and still love it there. There are areas away from the tourist centers that are stunning. I was somewhat dissapointed with the Carribean just because it is getting to crowded. The islands of Thailand are great and real inexpensive. But... I have settled on Cam Nam Island in Vietnam. Its my own little slice of paradise and it's my number one choice. It is actually a river island about 3 kilometers from the ocean. But I love it and it suits all of my needs. It is close to great sights and food. It is far enough away to keep the madding crowd at arms length. The sunsets are tremendous and I have fine friends that will put up with my nonsense. What more could a man want.
