Two of my friends have gone and raved about it. The exhibit is in Branson, Mo. until early January. I am trying to convince two of my friends, science teachers, to go with me but they say that have done dissections and aren't sure if it will be worth the 28.50. Also, one friend who raved about the exhibit itself told me the audio tape/headset wasn't really worth the $5.00 - unusual because when you go to museums that offer them they are usually well worth the price and you would of thought with something as baffling as bodies a good explanation would help. Thanks for any responses. If you didn't like it do let me know. If you were surprised you enjoyed it, let me know.

The exhibit is so worth the money. I saw it in Boston, the cadavers are not encased in resin. They infuse the tissue with a plastic material which allows them to manipulate the body parts with great precision. Imagine removing everything from the body except the circulatory system, but maintain the original form.

The part that I found most interesting was the diseased organs. Normal lung, smokers lung, cancer lung, coal miners lung - all side by side. What a knee or hip replacement looks like if you took the whole leg and cut in half along the vertical. It's fascinating. It's not gross or bloody in anyway, at least I didn't think so.

I also disagree regarding the audio. First off it's only $5, less then the cost of a beer at a baseball game. There is information on the audio that isn't in the written descriptions, although some of it is the same. It also enables you to move quicker if you desire and still get all the info.

If you friends don't want to go - screw em - go by yourself.

Your question makes very good sense Dave. Now can you work this one out. If Madeleine died in the apartment how did they dispose of her body? Admittedly some of the McCanns' party does seem to have been roaming around a bit, but surely the time would have been very tight. Perhaps the guy allegedly seen rushing towards the beach might have been responsible for this part of it? Or what about that rumour we heard about ages ago that a man had been seen putting a large bin bag into the rubbish disposal unit. God, I hope it wasn't like that. Surely nobody could be so wicked?

It depends on the tolerance limit of your friends. I went to the exhibit when it was in Houston, and while it was very well-presented, volunteers had to be sure that the typical 'guffaw - look, a naked body - gross!!' expressions didn't happen.

My husband lasted all of three minutes, then left since the one thing that everyone seems to forget is that these are real bodies, not life-like molds of them.

Personally I think it's a weird thing and I wouldn't want to see it but I hear from others who have seen it that it's really interesting.
