Are you retired or do you need a place of employment? What is important to you? Health care? Church? Peace and quiet? Fishing? Do you prefer high energy place bustling with people like the city or a very relaxed environment like out in the country. Do you like all seasons or prefer a warmer climate? The U.S. has all of these. A European gets more bang for their buck when moving to the Untied States due to the exchange rate. If you prefer the countryside with lush green rolling hills, plenty of fishing and wildlife...wow, lots to choose from. Wyoming, Montana, Colorado etc. Do you like to hang out at the beach? Florida just might be your place. Do you prefer a dry climate that lacks humidity? Arizona, Nevada, are just a couple ideas. Do you like the quiet country life but also having a city nearby? We got that too! Some states you have to pay income tax where some don't. Seven states have no state income tax: Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming. Two others, New Hampshire and Tennessee, tax only dividend and interest income. Many retired military people go to Tennessee. (Let's just say for fun that you wanted a 3,469 sq foot home (newer) with 3 bed and 2.5 baths on 4.22 acres of land the asking price $299,000. It's pretty cheap to live there BUT higher paying jobs are harder to come by. But, who cares if your retired! ;-) If you get a job in the states you employer would give you health benefits. Typically, dental, eye, medical expenses, medicine etc. In my opinion (from being a professional in the medical field) the U.S. has the very best as far as medical care is concerned. (Isn't it interesting when our bodies fail us with disease or illness that nothing else seems to matter and suddenly we find ourselves looking for the meaning of life?) Anyway, do you have family in the States? Do you want to own a business? As an American it is very easy to start your own business. Whew. I could go on but I wouldn't want to put me...I mean you, to sleep. ;-)
I do have to say... I have a heart for the culture and beauty of England, Scotland and Europe since I used to live in Europe and traveled abroad.
If you don't mind, this is quite appropriate for this discussion...it's one of my favorite verses I would like to share with you..."In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps." Proverbs 16:9 I prayed and asked the Lord to help you find your new home. Hugs to you and many, many blessings!

I'm from the USA, but I think Canada might be a good choice for you as well. I would not choose Europe right now unless you had really strong feelings of returing, just because the Euro is so strong and so would be more expensive to live there than any other places you are considering right now. Canadian dollar goes further, and you can always visit the USA very easily. (Or vice versa if you choose the USA but live up near the Canadian border). Plus if you live in Quebec, it has a very heavy French population and so you get that French and foreign feel to it while still residing in Canada. I certainly liked it a lot when I visited there last.

Depends what you're looking for in the place you choose. If you've no family ties to a given spot you can go anywhere. Of your choices I'd go for Europe, but of the places you listed I only choose Italy. Other than that I's pick Canada or Australia. Both big enough to have a wide variety of choices.

that's an extremely perplexing venture and you have completed an incredible interest of weighing the hazards, particularly for somebody your age. right here is my advice. you will in all probability opt for to adventure some degree of freedom between residing decrease than the auspices of your dad and mom and residing along with your boyfriend. previous that, being financially based on somebody is a controversy for somebody at any age, yet particularly for somebody who has no prepare being on their very own. on an identical time as this would all sound like a romantic answer to an uncomplicated situation, i'd advise giving it a dry run. perchance see if the two of your dad and mom will permit the different pass in for some weeks so which you would be able to attempt it out. you're able to locate (as a lot of human beings do) that your long distance relationship replaced into extra akin to a factor time interest and you're no longer somewhat waiting for the finished time place. What i'm saying then is that i think of you recognize what the the appropriate option answer is, it somewhat is basically no longer the glamorous fairy tale one :(

I would live in the USA of those choices, just due to the economics, the cost of living is lower than the others. Of course where to live in the US is another problem.
