If some has a very very negative experience with a hotel that is recommended by Lonely Planet, where do you post a complaint which would ensure that the officials visit that hotel again to 're-review' Also do you know any other travel websites where a similar post can be placed to warn fellow travellers about such places?

Travellers can either stay away from this place or maybe even go there to have a first hand experience with properties endorsed by Lonely Planet

For me it was in San Diego on the tip of Tijuana, Mexico with a window looking out onto a company which stored trucks and rocks in their yard. A little man would come out, pick up rocks, back up (beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! beep! from 5:30 - 7:00 a.m. daily), dump rocks, start again daily. He must have been the owners autistic son. But we drove to Coronado Island and to La Jolla every day and all was well.

I'm thinking somewhere fairly inexpensive, maybe just another U.S. state. I'm looking to get the most for my money.

I'm looking to fill 4 weeks in August. With something AMAZING!

I'm not filthy rich but I'd be willing to stretch the budget a little for the right trip. Suggestions to any place, doing anything gratefully received, though I would like to stay somewhere semi-decent and not completely rough it! Whether it be a trek, a surf camp or mountain biking...I'm up for trying anything exciting, but I'd also like to relax a little bit too. God, that sounds like an impossible brief to fill!

I'm a 25 year female and I'll be travelling alone.

Thanks in advance.

Does anyone else suffer from this? I'm sad to say that I passed up a trip to Las Vegas last year because I was going to have to travel on a plane. It's gotten pathetic. How do you get over this type of terror? The last time I flew, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I even took sleeping pills (eight hour flight), but still stayed wide awake.
This was not a problem until recently. I used to fly to Belgium once a year and it never bothered me until a few years ago.

NYC can get pretty hot in July, so we'd prefer to go to a milder climate. We don't have a lot of money, so expensive destinations like Iceland are out (although I would love to go one of these days...). We also have a baby boy (who will be 11 months in July), so we would prefer not to go on a long flight or road trip (so destinations like Southeast Asia are out, too, desirable as that would be as well). Finally, we would prefer to go someplace where it isn't the peak high season (although that's admittedly a little difficult to find in July), so Europe may have to be out. We went to Toronto last year and it was nice. Where should we go this year? (Montreal?)

I felt sooo out of place when I went to Europe. People dress very elegantly in the city and people are mostly thin. They seem a little perfect. What's your opinion?

I would like to take my family on a vacation. It would consist of myself, my husband, my 1.5 year old child, and possibly my parents, in their early 50s.

We would like something tropical. I was thinking about a Beaches resort, but they are booked up for when we want to go, which is during Mardi Gras. We'd like to go during the week of Feb. 19.

If anyone has some suggestions for family friendly yet fun and entertaining I would really love your help!
