If some has a very very negative experience with a hotel that is recommended by Lonely Planet, where do you post a complaint which would ensure that the officials visit that hotel again to 're-review' Also do you know any other travel websites where a similar post can be placed to warn fellow travellers about such places?
Travellers can either stay away from this place or maybe even go there to have a first hand experience with properties endorsed by Lonely Planet

but put it down to experience. Things change and it takes a while for things to get into print. Lonely planet, or any other travel guide is merely a guide, not be be taken as bible.
The other thing is don't take negative reviews of places for granted. Someone will have been sent to review the place but everyone has different opinions and he may have missed some great attraction or just wanted to keep it to himself, as I would for some places in the world.

In most situations there is a "Complaints Box" available. This is the best way to air your views, suggestions for improvement and ofcourse complaints. If not available, see the Manager, Complaints Div. or address all mail to :- Manager Complaints Div. Lonely Planet, Where ever it is .

There are plenty of web-sites that allow you to comment on a hotel - Google the name of the hotel with the word review and you will probably find it. I found Lonely Planet to be excellent - they listed one hotel as vastly over-priced and inexcusably filthy - they were absolutely correct.

I believed lonely planet disabled their complaint box or contact us form.
Try this: if you really want to warn other people and relate them your "horrible" experience with that planet, why not look for and join any egroups (yahoogroups for example) that deals with travels and liesures, hotels etc... or make your own blog at Blogspot or Yahoo 360? and damn that planet to your hearts content!
(Just make sure, dont include our own planet, okey? LOL)
