Huge places for Spring Break are Myrtle Beach (SC), Panama City, Fort Lauderdale and Daytona (all FL), San Padre Island (TX), and Cancun.

A lot of my friends used to go skiing since its one of the last ski weeks. Anywhere in the Rockies.

I'd recommend doing a cruise. It's not more expensive than a week at any of these places--it's probably cheaper. You can lay out in warm weather, see several beaches--St Thomas, St Martins, St Lucia. You can do that for less than 1,000--including cruise, all the food you can eat, alcohol, and shore excusions.
