Travel (General) - August 2006

Im going on 8 flights and a week on a cruise ship in the space of 2 weeks. It may sound stupid but they are all in America and I am so scared of a crash or terrorists and I can't explain why. Should I be scared or not?

Airline shedules have changed so the whoe trip has had to be rebooked using Expedia. I accept the problem but the solution surely cannot require a delay of 16 weeks to refund over
£2000.

I would like to go to Scotland for New Year. I have enquired how much it would cost to fly from Staffordshire to Inverness and i was told £132 return.
Is there anyone out there can think of any cheaper ways of travel i.e. companies that will do it cheaper.
I was told that it costs so much cause of the taxes in the UK?

I am a 17 year old girl. I'm the strongest girl I know of, with the most common sense of any one of the girls I know my age. This upcoming summer I want to backpack through Europe for two months with a companion {either a friend my age or my 20 year old sister}, are age restrictions going to make this trip unpleasent? I want to surprise my man with a great vacation for our 1 year anniversiary - he has mentioned wanting to go to Yosemite Ntl. Park - Has anyone ever been there? Where is the best place to stay? What are the best things to do?

Anyway else have any great vacation ideas? We are only going to be able to be gone for a few days, and I am trying to keep the trip kind of inexpensive.
