will video camera film get damaged when...?

it goes through the x-ray? (at the airport)

No. I've taken my camcorder thru many airport xrays and it has never been damaged. Same with digital cameras and even 35mm film. Film might change color a little bit after many many xrays but that's all. Your vacation videos will be fine.

no, but the security guard will inpect the film if u put it in the carry on luggages. they will find out anyway.
