Canada. Close, convenient, safe and so much to see.

What kind of person are you? What do you like? This question cannot be answered in one word. I am an avid traveler, and I have a passion for MANY places in the world, and each of them have their merits.
If you are a novice traveler, then start small--the Caribbean perhaps. Then move up to the U.K., since they are similar to us. Then hit the mainland continent of Western Europe--France, Spain, Italy, Germany. By then you will have a feel for what you like. Eastern Europe is slightly more difficult, but completely worth it. Next I would do South America. Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador. Then perhaps East Asia and as much as the middle East will permit, and the Pacific Rim (Indonesia, Australia, etc).
Finally, I would explore Africa.
But that is just me.
