West Indies is a string of islands south of Cuba, near the Virgin Islands.
Some islands in the West Indies are St. Maarten, St. Barts, Aruba etc.

May-b u r a boob bcuz u dont know where the West indies is seeing it so close to the USA but neways...
The west indies is just south of florida. i'm from Jamaica i would know
It stretches from the bahamas all the way down to Northern South America. and is southwest of the atlantic ocean, and surrounded by the caribbean sea(the west indies and the caribbean are technically the same)
(and ignore that "bright spark" who said 'west of the east indies!' as there's no such thing as the east indies.)
