I want to surprise my man with a great vacation for our 1 year anniversiary - he has mentioned wanting to go to Yosemite Ntl. Park - Has anyone ever been there? Where is the best place to stay? What are the best things to do?

Anyway else have any great vacation ideas? We are only going to be able to be gone for a few days, and I am trying to keep the trip kind of inexpensive.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

For just a couple of days? I would recommend going to Las Vegas if you want a busy trip. There is a lot to do and you will definitely keep busy. If you want something more relaxing, I would suggest getting a cabin near Gettysburg, Tennessee. Another idea is the Niagra Falls.

Congrats on the anniversary!

If he's a history buff Charleston SC is great. You'll love it to I went this spring.Stay across the bridge though by the Yorktown Airship carrier.Hotels are much cheaper and some are much more comfortable.Do the carriage tour and Fort Summoner and alot of really cool things.History glor I thought it would be boring it was great.Great shopping also and great food alot of fun over all.

Firstly it is not the place that should matter but the feeling for each other. However ,change of place do have an emotional effects at sometimes.Considering that you are at US,I suggest you try to go to Niagara Fall that would be a real good place to spend first anniversary.Have a great day, good luck.

Yosemite is very nice, but unless you're a hiker/camper, there's not much to do there. I would pick a city you've never been to and make it a home base for day trips. Denver is very nice, as are Seattle and Chicago.

Well I am not sure where you are from, but a quaint little bed & breakfast would be nice and relaxing. I would do that if you are looking for something reasonable and close enough so you don't have to pay for a flight. Have fun and congrats to both of you!

Yosemite is ok. Try going to Hawaii. Lots of hiking trails and you can relax.
