I haven't been over there since 2001, and the French were quite hostile to Canadians (whom I have heard are hateful to us)!

I know I know, it is illegal to teach English in Spain and Italy when you're an American citizen. However, I also know many people do it. If you get caught, what are the consequences? Also, is it possible to find a job in areas outside of Madrid? What are the best areas to find work teaching English in Spain/Italy? (in terms of job availability, friendliness, general location, living situations, weather, etc)

I am planning to travel/work abroad with friends, so it would be helpful if we could all find a teaching job in the same city..

(Please do not direct me to Dave's ESL Cafe, I have spent many hours there already)

Thanks!

I am interested in visiting Prague but there seems to be so many different districts to choose from. Can anyone recommend the best area to stay to see the city and a reasonably priced good hotel. Any other information about the city that you have personally gained would be appreciated. Thanks.

My friends talk to me this morning and we talk about a country called England and I have never heard of it and they are in big shock and does not beleive me and calls me stupid.

Is they making joke that I am stupid or has lots of people not heard of this England?

I looked on the google search this morning and can see now that it is a small island above France but there are lots of small Islands in the world and I don't know all of them.

How many people have actually heard of this England just so I don't feel so stupid as they still laughing at me?

Hi, I'm going to Riga, Latvia in May and wonder what the cigarettes cost over there? I will go by ferry from and to Stockholm.

I would like to know prices on brands like Marlboro, Prince and also the "cheaper" brands. It might be Wall Street, Vermont, Corner or other decent brands. I have no idea what they have. I would like to know the price of a carton of 10.

Also, do they have fixed prices or is it worth while looking around?

Hoping for replys,

Thanks in advance

/ Peter

is the cost of living in Finland uber high? Is employment easy to find? I am trying to learn Finnish, but its quite hard to go at it by myself, its a slow process but i'm getting there. Anything i need to know before i move there? It will be a few years before I go, nonetheless i am starting to prepare now. Call me crazy, i dont know. ^_^
Again, any advice would be great! I've heard alot that Americans have a hard time adjusting to Finland, but im going to give it a shot. I adapt pretty easy, im not worried.
im pretty sure there is other questions out there like this. i may have even posted one, who knows.
