I Plan to travel to England, France, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, and Italy. Im flying from California to London and plan on taking the Train to Paris from there, after that i just want to see as much as possible! Any tips or suggestions?

I'm planning on using my credit card for most purchases, but for smaller merchants,( who don't take credit- only cash) I was planning on bringing 500 Euros- Will this be enough?
My budget- ( not including the 500 mentioned above )is 1500 U.S dollars. Will this be enough for 5 weeks? My Apartment and local transport is paid for.
