Should have said I'm travelling from the UK, so no boats required.

Where do you want to start from? Contact me, am Pole. There are coaches but these days it's not cheaper than flying and lasts some 2 days from Madrid (32 hrs) or London (24 hrs) - to Warsaw.
Walking is not the cheapest way as some people want to suggest here, long walk needs a lot of pairs of shoes, staying in hotels, food and medicine to recover from exhaustion...;-D)))

You can take the train. I work for train company called rail europe. You can take the Eurostar to Paris or Brussels and then take a night train to berlin and then you can take another train over the boarder Warsaw is about 4 hours from berlin by train.

Eurostar starts from £59 Return, Paris or Brussels to Berlin costs from £60 oneway and about £40 oneway to warsaw from Berlin. These are the cheap fares and the ealier you buy them the cheaper they are.

Or you could buy a ticket like the inter rail which gives you a months travel for £285 if you are under 26

Hope this helps

No, don't take the train. A coach will be MUCH cheaper. Particularly if you're under 26 or a student, you can often get excellent deals that way.

It relies upon which airline you will chosen, and if its a non stop flight. and additionally the place are you departing from. i think of that LOT the Polish airline has a roundtrip flight for approx. 1200$ for the time of summer season months.
