My wife and I were in Mallorca last fall and had a wonderful time. Palma itself is pretty neat, especially if you like shopping. They also have a neat gardens close to the castle within the city.

However, the best part of Mallorca, in our opinion was not Palma. We enjoyed the most were excursions to the nearby towns of Pollenca, Valdemossa and Soller. Our favourite was the hillside town of Pollenca. From Palma, make sure you also take the train to Soller. The train winds its way up into the mountains and through the 13 tunnels of the Serra de Tramuntana that must be crossed to reach the fertile, bowl-shaped valley where Soller lives. If you like beaches take a bus to Formentor. There's nothing like swimming in the clear blue azur waters of the Mediterranean. If you'd like to see pictures from our trip, they're at:

Depends on what you want, theres plenty of nightlife, loads of beaches, scenery you could die for, try taking the train from Palma to Soller, thats a trip you'll never forget.
Have a good time!.
