My friend & his g/f got into a fight. She just came from Canada like 5 weeks ago to N.H. to be w/him. No one will help her out money wise cuz she has screwed them over before. How can she get home? I have plans to drive from western PA to Montreal tomorrow and it looks like a snowstorm is going to be hitting upstate New York over to the Montreal area. I don't know if I should reserve a room in Syracuse or continue into Canada. Since Canada is used to snow, do they take good care of their roads?

I live in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and want to go visit a friend in New Brunswick, Canada (around Fredericton or Miramichi). I don't have my own car at the time and don't want to rent one. It's only an eight or nine hour drive, so I really don't want to take a plane. Plus, then I'd have to get a passport. My friend suggested taking a bus, like Greyhound. Can I take a bus to Maine and transfer to one that'll take me into Canada? Flying and driving myself aren't my only options, right?

Also, how does it work when you cross the border? Do you get out of the car or is it like going through a toll? Do they ask you questions? What will I have to tell them - where I'm going and how long I'll be there? I have no idea what to expect.

From what I've read, I don't need a passport yet (that law won't be made until early 2008 according to the U.S. Passport website), but I do need my drivers license and birth certificate, correct? Will I need anything else?

This is really tourist-y, but I'm wondering if anyone knows where in Niagara Falls, ON my boyfriend and I could get our photo taken in a barrel looking like we're going over the falls. I know this sounds really cheesy, but we're really cheesy people, and I want it for our scrapbook.
Years ago my mother, brother and I got one taken and I'm just wondering if its still around.

I am a British citizenshipo and i hold a British passport. If i wanted to stay in Canada for 3 months do i require a Visa? i have travelled to Canada before but only for short stays up to 10 days but i did not require a Visa as they stamp the passport at the airport. Please let me know thanks

We are planning a trip to Cape Breton Island this summer and are looking for some suggestions of where to stay and fun things to do. This is likely going to be our wedding/honeymoon trip and we are looking at staying for about a week or 10 days. We will be travelling with our small daughter who will be almost 2 at the time.
