It should be fine, but you will need some software to flip the screen over as Canada is on the other side of the world (assuming you bought the laptop in the UK). You will have to learn a new keyboard layout as well, but that just takes a bit of practice.

Yes. Even if you have a 230Vac adapter, you will find it works in countries where the mains is at 110Vac. Aall you need is a travel plug.
