I was wondering whereabouts in Brisbane do the young professional crowd hang out? The same as there are student bars, backpacker bars, where are the "lawyer bars", the "doctor bars", where do rich singles go for a few drinks?
Thanks for your answers.

I want to move somewhere new, preferably near the beach. Somewhere that has lots of work and would be a nice place to raise a family.

hello, i'm french, and i would to know (it's to a report, homework on your country), "how is a city from new zealand ? The New Zealand was colonize by the great britain. Our theme is : "what are the british influences on the maori influences"
I need to know to do scale model.
Sorry i'm not a good british language ^^
If you can give me a link or pictures, thanks you

If it exists political places or bookcase or churchs, that represents many different themes, i need it.

It can be stupid for many, but i have never been in New Zealand.

Hey guys, I am an American/ Lebanese (Christian) student with ambitions to move to Australia.

What I would like to know is, is it easy to become a citizen?..What is the process like?

Also, I will be moving with around 75 thousand US dollars, is that sufficient to start a small business, say travel hostel or restaurant there in either Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney?

Another thing is, how does Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne compare in terms of business opportunity and cost of living?

One last small curiosity is, does blatant racism exist in Australia against the whites and the minorities including the Greeks and Lebanese, as I have heard some distubring things about it....Thats all, thank you all soo much....

I'm really curious how Australian survive an average day when it contrains almost all of the most poisonus/dangerous insects and animals in the world packed into one country? Even the waters surrounding it have the most poisonus aquatic creatures, not to mention all the sharks.

I'll be visiting Sydney 4 days, Melbourne 1 day, and Port Douglas 3 days.

Should I add 3 more days or so to my trip and include Gold Coast to visit Australia Zoo and one or two of the theme parks? or are the beaches of northern Queensland enough for such a short trip?

I've looked on several websites, but can't really find out what are the best places to live in Sydney. We need good primary and secondary schools; quiet location but close to shops. Close to beaches would also be an advantage! I need to fly around the country as well, so don;t want to be more than about an hour from the airport (drive or ideally train). Can anyone help?! Thanks in advance.

Need your advice. I am Java programmer and have been working in the IT industry for almost 3 years. I've learned that one of the requirements to get to Australia is to have one's skills accessed, in my case acs.org is the accessing body I should go to. But in their website I found out that they require at least 4 years of related experience...

Do I really have to way another year to I have my IT skills accessed? or can I have my skills accessed today and would still have the chance of passing their assestment even if I'm ayear short ?

Or, is there another way/process I could go to, to be able to migrate to austalia w/o having to wait another year?

TIA
