We are also interested as we were in Surfers Paradise (location of the vercace hotel) on our hols 3 weeks ago.
When the helicopter's were flying along side each other the skyline of surfers was clear with the q1 building most prominent.
If anyone can be exact we would also be interested to know.

Its an old link I know, but Yahoo or Google the location and there are plenty of other links. Contestants stay in Surfers before and after their stint on the show at the Palazzo Versace. US version of the show will kick off soon after ABC won an injunction against CBS who accused them of copying Survivor.
