If cell phones were to cost 10x more than it costs now (both the cost of the unit as well as load/ airtime charges), could you cope?

What would be your coping method?

"Aawitan Kita" (translation: I will sing for you) was a program that irritated a lot of people, and at the same time had a loyal fan base.

I do not know if it still airs as a special. What did you think of this show?

I think most Filipinos would instinctively say US ! when asked for their choice. But I have had lots of well-traveled Filipinos who, more often than not would have traveled to the US several times before they visit Australia for the first time, that they were pleasantly surprised and that they should have discovered Australia earlier. 2 of my Filipino friends are thinking of buying property here (Sydney)

Does this sound strange to you? Or are you open to the possibility that you could prefer Australia when you finally see our country?

Yahoo! Southeast Asia would like to recognize Answers members in the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore and asked to feature me to share a little about why I use Answers and what I've learnt from it.

I would like to grab this golden opportunity to raise legitimate issues with regards Y!A Philippines Travel that seem to have been overlooked by Y!A due to thousands and thousands of communications and abuse reports they receive.

I already have some points in mind; but, I do need more input and suggestions from Y!AP users. I was looking for Inday's and Sweetwater's proposal but can no longer find it. Papa Chuck's and other users’earlier suggestions:
http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArKb3KspEhZ3VzpXftoModvh5gt.?qid=20070727002730AAKAoCo&show=7#profile-info-3bb0b5bff7cd4675f60ec1a3d17fd222aa already noted.

Any more comments and suggestions or issues you might like Y!A to address?

Thanks in advance!

There is a story, told 100 years ago, of an Indian weaver who was told that in England there are lots of textile mills and that as a weaver he can get a good paying job there.
Just about to board a ship for Lancastershire, he saw another huge ocean liner. He asked his friends on deck what it was for and they said. " It is a cotton going to Lancastershire." The weaver became worried. He said, " I am just a single man going to England and they are sending a whole ship of cotton!"

i had this pinoy fren in a mideast country, being close with the arab co workers, he asked why they smell of sheeps. Not being insulted, an arab answered that he also wondered why pinoys smell like fish. This reminds me a saying of jose rizal "ang hindi marunong magmahal ng sariling wika, ay higit pa ang amoy sa malansang isda".Every culture therefore has its distinctive smell.
Another case, my sister, riding an elevator in hong kong overheard the local cantonese chinese there murmuring "why do filipinos smell of coconut oil"? knowing the language, she retaliated by saying, you chinese smell like corn . Well, we do use coconut oil mostly in our food, and this chinese use corn oil in their cooking. No wonder.
now, what i'm thinking is what kind of oil should one consume so they can be attractive or repulsive to the opposite sex, in whatever culture?
