If I were a guy, yes --- I'd wear that g-string with pride! As a girl, I'd wear their native garb too - the modern way (total coverage) or the traditional way (weren't they topless before?). Anything for authencity. Might even win me a "best costume" award. LOL

No, I will not wear a g-string. As Aguadulce pointed out, g-strings are for men. Being Baguio born and thus considered an igorot (meaning, from the mountain), I would wear the Benguet tapis and be as daring as the old way, topless; but, would wear the antique bead necklace as is customary, to cover the breasts.
The beating of the gongs, as well as any other indigenous rite, is a very sacred practice not to be made fun of.
Passing gas is natural, whether you are an igorot or not or wearing a g-string or not, and you don't need gongs to drown the sound down.
The lone representative of Baguio wore the "bahag" each time he took his oath of office and he wore it with dignity and grace. Local and foreign dignitaries respected and never looked down upon Congressman Domogan's person for wearing the traditional costume during official functions.

If I were a guy, why not! But since I'm a girl I'd wear the counterpart for women. Wait, what do the female Igorots wear as top anyway? If they go topless i'd have to wear a bando of some sort. I'm not gutsy enough to go topless. I'd do the Igorot dance though!
