Have you ever been to the airport and seen all the balikbayan there? They are good at boxing stuff up because they cannot afford the fancy luggage.

It hasn't always been like this.
True, we had boxing greats in the past. But they were few, and came in different eras.
Until Manny Pacquiao came along, and "glamorized" this otherwise barbaric sport. He had the right elements, the right attitude, the discipline, and eventually became a hugely popular, extremely well paid warrior.
And now the Filipino boxers have found an idol, an inspiration. Even the sports officials are giving this a second look. Even the provincial coaches are inspired they could produce another PACMAN.
And the Filipinos are not just intelligent, not just physically strong, but most probably have the strongest determination to succeed and resultantly be wealthy. So they now train harder, and take the craft more seriously.
That is why we have become a nation of great boxers. Move over, Thailand and Me xico.

I think that they have a deep passion for rising from nothing to world contender status. They know what it takes to fight and struggle. They are not just doing it for themselves, they are for all filipino's because filipino's can identify with boxers like Pacman. I think Pacman can inspire the average young filipino man to rise to the occasion.
Very strong Passion.

Because the lower you go in the social ladder, the better fighters you get.
Blacks and latinos are the best fighters in the USA, not the whites.
The Filipino boxer would be better if they recieved the proper training and diet allowance they deserve.

Manny was wounded in the eye in his last fight, yet he came back fighting.
This is why we are great. To come up when you're down. That's the measure of greatness.
And Mr Knowitall, that's a good one. If there's anybody you should NOT apologize to, it's me. I do it all the time. Boxing things up. Sometimes, the ropes get loose if you don't do it right, and things get spilled in the conveyor.

Boxing is an equal opportunity sport. Regardless of stature (e.g., height which is a must in basketball) and availability of training facilities (e.g., snow which is a prequisite to skiing), boxing only requires stamina, smarts and star-complex --- all of which the Pinoys have plenty of. Thus, it is not surprising that Pinoys make great boxers.
Just take a look -----
