"There are quite a few cheaters in Yahoo Answers. Often, I'm amazed at the ferocity at which they pursue reaching a top 10 list of top contributor status--given that Yahoo Answers does not compensate reaching such a goal in any tangible way. Medically the term for this condition is OCD (obsessive-compulsive disroder) or some variant.

These cheaters employ every despicable manner of methods that are bereft of ethics, propriety and dignity to attempt to subvert the rules that everybody else must abide by.

Obviously, they were not raised properly by their parents.

It saddens me to think of how empty their REAL lives must be for them to think that their "status" on an Internet forum full of strangers could be so important that they spend literally 24 hours a day, 365 days a year here fervently answering questions (and cheating while at it)--as if their efforts here will actually result in some meaningful sense of fulfilment.

It won't.

"tuba" - a Phil. alcoholic beverage characterized as the sweet sap made from freshly-gathered coconut. Popular in the Visayan provinces, esp. Sorsogon. Warning: drink rightaway coz after 2-3 days, it becomes sour - suka na! VINEGAR

"lambanog" - another Phil. alcoholic beverage most commonly described as coconut wine or coconut vodka. It is available commercially and is popular in the Northern Luzon provinces.

I once had guests from Europe who were surprised to see that we have decent homes in nice surroundings. They thought we all lived in shanties - - because the news clips shown whenever there are mentions of the Philippines were Smokey Mountain, etc.

It would be nice for travellers on YAP to "visit" our homes, if only through your answers.
