Pardon the puns, but my pair of shoes would say,
"I have to put my foot down this time. I can't put (foot) up with you anymore. It's a mean feat (feet) for me - it really sucks (socks) - with you walking all the time, and you never having to stay put (foot). I'm about to give up my sole (soul), after helping you walk around in the last five years. Pray for my sole (soul): it may stray from the path any time now. If you just shoo (shoe) me away, I gladly would. Maybe your wife could foot the bill for a new pair (pear). You could raise a pear (pair) tree inside me at the rate you're using me. If I could, I would surely boot you out."

I have a lot of shoes, but there is just one particular pair that I normally use for the office coz they are nice-looking and comfy. And they would probably say:
"Hey fool, walk more carefully! You're a girl, gaddemet, don't forget!"
Erm... yeah, I walk like a military-trained penguin. My favorite shoes probably hate me.

I have 40 pairs of shoes at the moment that I have collected from 2004...
If all of them can talk, they might say:
"Hey, you crazy lady! Why you keep buying pairs of shoes and wearing us one to two times then stock us in a box? We feel sad as you almost forgotten that we exist here in the cupboard! Please use us, display us. We want your feet to caress us”.... lols!

I have a long-standing love affair with shoes. And no, I didn't take after Imelda...it's just the way I am...sorry. And most likely, this is what they will say to me --- "pick me, pick me....I haven't been out of this closet for months". Yeah, that many!!!
