I once had guests from Europe who were surprised to see that we have decent homes in nice surroundings. They thought we all lived in shanties - - because the news clips shown whenever there are mentions of the Philippines were Smokey Mountain, etc.

It would be nice for travellers on YAP to "visit" our homes, if only through your answers.

Around the property's periphery are white and pink bougainvilleas, in front of the bougainvilleas are yellow bells (Tecoma Stans). Lush bermuda grass cover the lawn. There is an acacia tree, approximately 50 years old. Several fruiting dwarf mango trees and a palm tree.

How about yours, Bopols?

i love my new place. lots of trees to cool us down. sometimes i don't even need to turn on the airconditioners! mornings, you'll wake up at the sound of birds. after all the people had gone to work, the place is really quiet, except for occasional cars. midday is a great time to have a nap. no funny smell. no hollering neighbors. just good old fashioned provincial neighborhood.

Home is where my heart is, always.
It's maybe small but my dreams are bigger than our house.
