What can I say, anak, Philippines is the land of my birth and that's where I grew up and learned my ABCs. All the people that mean the world to me are in the Philippines and they are the reasons why the Philippines will always be home to me.
Pinay and proud!

The best thing I love about the Philippines can be found outside Metro Manila and within each province surrounding it.
The unique traditions, customs and beliefs can be found in each place that you visit. And to add to that, the nature as well. I love the mountains!
Like what one foreign tourist told my boyfriend and I while visiting Ilocos Norte: "If you really want to get to know the Philippines, then as soon as you land in Manila, quickly get the hell out of there and travel out to the provinces. There you'll see the true beauty of the Philippine Islands."
[Unfortunately, the city is slowly or already lost its uniqueness a long time ago...]

While the Philippines is naturally beautiful, it is not what is best about it. It is the people. Trite as it may sound, I say this with conviction. This is the one thing that has worked well for the Philippines, in spite of the government and inspite of the prevailing poverty.
The Filipinos are resilient, good natured, God-fearing and innately intelligent. That is how I will describe our people in general. Lest I be accused of mouthing lies, or half-truths, I will have to say that there are scumbags in any society all over the world - - - even in the first world.
When you come, you will fall in love with the Philippines, and the Filipinos. Welcome.

It is a beautiful country... and no matter where I go or what I do, I would always remember that the Philippines is the country from where I came. I will always be proud of it - the people who laugh despite all the troubles, the Filipino's natural knack for helping others in need, all the country's natural treasures, the rich culture which is a mix of a lot of other people's, even the oftentimes terrible traffic that lets me do my makeup while on the go in the morning - and I will always love this country because it is where all the things I hold dear are.

Aside from the fact that I am Pinoy, proudly Pinoy I might add, these are the best things Pinoy, to me:
1. Pinays, need I say more?
2. The weather, unlike its politics, it's fair with lots of rain during the BER months;
3. Schools -- Ateneo and UP are tops, ask anybody in Asia;
Disregard above if you're not Pinoy.

Well, Filipinos are hospitable. That is maybe the reason why there are so many nurses graduating from college in the Philippines.

because of it's diversity, uniqueness, hospitality, and the beauty of it's places and people...
well, Philippines is historical, because our country had been occupied by 3 super power countries: Spain, USA, and Japan...
now, Philippines is considered the most Westernized country in Asia, home of the most fluent English-speaking people in Asia, and is a developing new industrialized country...
for me, Philippines is also the home of intelligent people... I think it's one of the most globally competitive countries in the whole word in terms of education, sports, talents, arts, etc...
and still, Filipinas, for me, are better than any other girls...

The most important thing to me is that is where my wife originated from.
The second important thing is that is where my extended family lives. My Inlaws are probably some of the nicest people I know.
Thirdly that is where the majority of YAPPERS hail from. They would have to be the best 'virtual' friends a person could ask for and I am sure that in real life that would also hold true.
