The girlie bars in Burgos, Makati. Looks attractive but feels unsafe. Who has been there and would you say it is safe?

i have lived in Makati and i know this place is not as bad as it looks with all the girlie bars. in 5 years i have been there I have not heard of anyone gunned down in that area. just don't bring loads of cash.
i myself had walked nearby streets in wee hours. we liked to eat at the persian resto and a&w and central park after a drinking spree along Jupiter street.

i've been there once several years ago when we took some tourist friends barhopping there. since i'm a girl i cant really say it was entertaining but the men in the group seemed to enjoy it!!! i didn't feel like it was unsafe tho. i didn't feel like anyone was going to hold me up or try to kill me. walking on the streets in that area is quite safe too as there are many people around. of course it's always advisable to be cautious at all times and in all places!
