My stay would only last for 1-2 months..So my 2k-4k budget is for the whole month.

Unfortunately you will not find a decent place to stay for 4k per month, if that is in local currency. Sorry for the bad news, but I do not want you to come thinking you can get by with that money.
Monthly rentals for cheap condos in Makati would be around 6k per month, but thay rent out for longer periods and the landlord will require 2 months deposit and 2 months advance rental. Therefore this is not the mode for you, and you should be looking at inns or hotels. And there is where the problem lies, you will not find a decent hotel/inn at those rates.

Prince Plaza is moderately priced and good rooms with bathroom and kitchen.
