my daughter's last name is of her father but we were not married and yet it is written in my daughter's birth certificate that I was married to her father with a date of marriage in it which did'nt happen. I want to apply for my daughter only not including the father, but I guess I'd be in trouble if they will ask for a marriage contract and I would'nt be able to present any.

I heard that Phillipinoes consider the Korean community in their country to be a pretty much closed society due to language and culture barriers even though such barriers are slowly eroding. I also heard that it's far more common to find Korean-Phillipinoes who regret coming to Phillippines than the ones who really made it in Phillippines. Well, I think that would be the case with immigrants in any countries.

Anyone out there who can give me a little story about life in the Phillippines for Koreans?

I am hearing Korean culture and Korean (men) are popular and held in high regard in Phillippines.

I am quite surprsied to that, because having lived in US for long time, I am used to the unfortunate fact that Korean men (not so much Korean women) are one of the least popular group with other Asian men due to being small in number, all kinds of non-sense stereotypes, racism (coming even from Korean females), and the fact Koreans don't have roots in the U.S.

Are these the less the possibility in Phillippines for Korean men? I am certain one would have to right qualities to be held in good regard, but I am sick and tired of Korean men's built-in disadvantages in Caucasian (and Black) dominant society.

Why is divorce not allowed in our country? I think our government is so stupid. There are only 2 countries that don't legalize divorce and our country is one of them. Annulment is so expensive and how about the poor?
