my daughter's last name is of her father but we were not married and yet it is written in my daughter's birth certificate that I was married to her father with a date of marriage in it which did'nt happen. I want to apply for my daughter only not including the father, but I guess I'd be in trouble if they will ask for a marriage contract and I would'nt be able to present any.

it's better that u have to revise / change ur child's birth certificate first but there's no need to change her surname. it will appear as the father has recognized his child. it would make things more complicated if the consul will ask for ur marriage certificate since there was none. u also have to ask the father's consent with regards to ur daughter to travel with u because she's a minor. i think u have to get a permit from the dept of social welfare for that. good luck! just tell the truth.

uuuhhhmmm.that's a bit hard. try to have your child's birth certificate changed first by removing the date of marriage. the immigration would ask for your marriage certificate which will only make things harder for you. you don't have to change your daughters surname. but the immigration or the embassy would soon be asking for the written consent of your daughters father before they grant your application.

yeah, you're pretty much screwed there, hon. why don't you get the birth certificate revised to say your daughter was born out of wedlock then?

as they say where i come from: da trot wil set yu pre!
