First of all, you must have to have a guitar.
Second, wrap your guitar properly so that it won't be broken during its handling. Oh, do not put Fragile sticker on your guitar.
Third, put an address tag on your guitar.
Fourth, bring it to the airport with you.
Fifth, check in your guitar with the rest of your baggage.
Sixth, fly!
Seventh, pick up your guitar and the rest of your check in baggage.
Eight, go to immigration for immigration clearance.
Ninth, clear your customs.
Tenth, take a cab!

If you're flying over, keep it with you in the cabin because it's pressurised (hopefully, it can fit into a compartment or under the seat). If left in the cargo-hold, it could warp or even break.

Yes you can but make sure you get a good coffin for it, we bring one home on each of our yearly trip as my son is a guitar collector. They have lots of nice ones there and very cheap too.

customs will tag it and you'll probably have to pay a duty tax...dont try to hide it. if flying, put it in a solid case and give it to them like you would luggage....good luck...
